How? What? Like!

Cómo means how.  ¿Cómo se dice table?  ¿Cómo se escribe silla?  Here’s una sorpresa.  Como also means I eat.  See what you can understand of this then.  Como ensalada y como patatas pero no como carne.  No como mucho por la mañana pero como más por la noche.

Otra sorpresa.  Como also means like.  No como me gusta, pero como similar.  Like as in the word that many English speaking teenagers tend to overuse as a filler.  Here are unos ejemplos.

Life es como a box of chocolates.  Nunca sabes what you are going to get.

Algebra es como un divorcio.  You look at your x and you wonder y.

Un buen humor es como a balloon.  ¿Cómo?  One prick can ruin it.

La vida es como riding una bicicleta.  To keep your equilibrio you have to keep moving.

La inteligencia es como your underwear.  Es importante to have it pero no es necesario to show it off.

Vida means life.  Río means river.  La vida es como un río.  ¿Cómo?  You decide!
