No es posible to put everything en la memoria without un poco de repasar, repetir, imaginación … (i-ma-hi-na-seeon).  Vamos.  Let’s have a look at los días de la semana.

The days aren’t in the same order as the planets.

Try to recall los días de la semana en español.  Choose from the jumbled list of los días below.

Where the word for the day comes from.

  • Monday comes from Luna – The Moon
  • Tuesday comes from Planeta Marte
  • Wednesday comes from Planeta Mercurio
  • Thursday comes from Planeta Júpiter
  • Friday comes from Planeta Venús
  • Saturday comes from the Sabbath
  • Sunday comes from Domínicus – Latín for “of the lord”
The jumbled up días de la semana en español are:

Try this chant to help you con los días nombrado por planetas:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,

Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus,

Martes, miércoles, jueves, Viernes.

See if you can memorizarlo – memorize it.

If you can read la música, a little tune could help you to remember los días de la semana.  If not, simplemente saying the words to un ritmo es suficiente.

  • Make una lista de los días, put it on your fridge, and use a magnet to indicar el día every day.
  • Write los días en español in one week of your diary or calendario, then repeat the exercise each week.
