Put your cd in your player, or open up the media player with the audio download. Open up your notebook. Take a sip of your drink. You are ready for class. Watch the video, and be ready to hit pause often and whenever you are instructed to do so. You are about to learn un poco de español.

Your SMART goals make your learning happen. Below is the SPECIFIC Spanish we covered today in class. Cognates just means words that are similar in the 2 languages, lenguajes. Can you name 15 of them? I know I couldn’t without the effort of memorización. Start with 3, and keep adding to that number. Also, can you remember the 2 ways to say and you? Can you remember the 2 ways to say what are you called? Try to have all this memorised by bedtime tomorrow. Test yourself often, and refer back to your textbook when you need to.

These goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound, in other words, they are SMART.
